Contacting RV mfgs

If I email RV mfgs asking them what was the last year they made walk thru baths, do you think I'll get any replies?

My reasoning for wanting this info, you may ask... We have purchased both our 5th wheels used, and probably will do so with the next purchase which may be 2-5 yrs down the road. (I just wish I could find the current (perfect to us)floorplan we have in a newer model but so far have not) I want to start looking @ the most current yr models that have open/walk thru baths on the size rigs we would be interested in to find a floorplan we like so when we start seriously shopping again, I'll know where to start. Make sense?? (It does to me! LOL)

I just thought if I knew when the last year they were produced by certain mfgs (or if they still do in 2014, but a lot don't)it would make my searching quicker.

Anyway, just curious if it will be worth my time or should I just do my own research..
  • We do not have a walk thru bath in our 2013 but at a recent (this month) RV Show, we saw a few units that did so I would think they are still manufactured that way.
  • Not so sure most manufacturers will respond,, I will say that it may be a great idea to attend the largest RV Show you can find and ASK QUESTIONS... If you find a manufacturers show (like Hershey) all the local dealers will have reps from the manufacturer there...

Or search online at the manufacturers floor plans.

I've done this for 2014 models but a lot of them have the enclosed baths which I do not want. Most mfgs don't show past year's models on the websites much past the current year models that I've seen.
  • I tried this a couple of years ago and could not get good info from most of the manufactures.
  • Just Google search the unit you're looking for. Plenty of online photos to tell what's changed and what's hasn't.
  • If by walk through, you mean access from both the hallway and bedroom, most of the Open Range 5ers are built that way. OR is a pretty well built unit.
  • Excel has several models with the open bath as an option. I'm not sure how popular they are so you would just have to look at individual units that are for sale. I don't have any idea how long they have been making the different style bathrooms as an option.

NADA has started posting the floor plans on their website.
