We've used a Curt on our Dodge since 2014 & now on our 2017. It works great.
In 2014 we were having trouble getting it latched, which was frustrating but a trip to a Dodge dealer as we were traveling thru Idaho solved the issue. The locking "jaws" were off so he ordered a new one and it has worked perfectly every since. something you might want to check into. Hugs, Di

Love it but it can be a pain to get latched,
Never had an issue getting mine latched. I always leave the 5er pin box a little lower than the hitch plate as I hook up. As I back up to it the pin box slides up the plate and compresses the truck suspension a little. When the hitch pin makes contact with the jaws I hear a clank and I'm locked in. No fuss, no muss.
I once did have a small issue unhitching. I had backed into a spot slightly up hill and left pretty fair pressure against the jaws. I had to let the truck rock forward just a little then the jaws released.
