Cummins 2014: If you read the original comment I sent you will see that I liked the 1 1/8 thickness of the jaw contact to the King pin on the B & W. If you check out the Curt Hitch the jaws appear to be about 9/16 thick. If you get up top and look at the inside of the jaws you will see that the contact part of the jaws to the king pin is only 3/16 of an inch . I think it will over time create a premature wear on the front side of the king pin and a sloppy connection.
As far as the common sense comment well maybe I didn't explain clearly enough what I just wrote above because the original post ordered a Curt hitch and if that works for him it works for me.
I think I also said at this time B&W did not make a hitch for GM over 20,0000lbs for the puck system. AT THIS TIME. It would only stand to reason since GM was 2 or 3 years behind Ford and Ram to install the puck system.
Hopefully I have explained myself more clearly this time. I only know for sure why I turned away from the Curt hitch which I almost ordered.
