X2 on the $20.00 more but I got the slider when I had a shortbed. It works great, but now I have a long bed and wish I didn't have the slider. it takes up a few extra inches.
But I really like the hitch as others have said.

have the Q20 with the slider, haven't had to use the slider yet but it's there if I ever feel I need it, so far no issues-easy to hook up & release...

I also have a non slider, but can say very well build and great company as far as I can tell. I highly recommend them.

I've got the 20K with slider. Have used it 2 seasons so far and just put it back in the truck yesterday for this up-coming season. The head is a one person lift, but the body and slider is a two person job, at least for me it is :) So I get my son in-law to help since I store it for the winter in his garage anyway.

I think it's a great hitch. Very positive lock-up and easy to to visually check when it is locked up. Have fount it smooth on the road (ie: no chucking) except in some really nasty spots that I'm sure would shake anybody's setup.

As far as the slider goes, I use it occasionally... rather be safe than sorry kind of approach. I pull a 2005 Travelaire (9500 lbs) and it isn't as 'contoured' on the front corners as some of the newer models seem to be.

I have the 20k without slider also. Just finished putting it back on our truck for our first outing next week. The two part system not only makes on and off easier, it's easier to grease the internals with the head off as well. I think the full pivot action keeps 'chucking' to a minimum - we've never experienced any, ever.

I have the Curt 20k non slider, as for the quality it is one well make hitch. I like the two piece system, it makes it easy to remove in the winter. That in turm gives me a chance to clean the parts and inspect for wear etc. I called the company on a not so important item and the customer service was excellent.
