Since there does not currently seem to be a Jayco owners forum, Moderator Frank has graciously allowed this thread. It will be for discussing Jayco related questions and comments. Anything not Jayco related will be deleted. Sounds more than fair to me. Thank-you Frank!

First.... wooooo hooooooo! You are the MAN!

Now, I have not recieved anything yet, nor do I have any issues with the linoleum yet. If I do I will probably just replace it with a tile of some sort.

Did others get notices from their dealers or Jayco about linoleum cracking? We did and I checked out the trailer yesterday. No evidence of cracking but the lino in the bathroom and near the main entrance door was lifted and wavey rather than laying flat. The dealer will fix it but it does make one question why Jayco doesn't glue the lino down, at least in these top-end trailers.

Incidently, I formally tendered my resignation on Friday. I gave a little on the date of my last day of work but Janice and I will still begin our first retirement trip (to the Oregon Coast) before the end of August. We're really looking forward to traveling with no return to work date looming at the end of the trip.

The 2010's are out. Here is a link to one with the ledgestone fireplace option. Looks like new countertops and glass door to the bedroom. Here is a link to one without the ledgestone. I like the solid surface over the stove top instead of the folding metal top.

Depending where you are you may have. But I too would say rescan first. There is an add on that I want to get for our antennas to help with the signal.

Has anyone had a leak with their antenna yet. I think we've had a couple drips through our handle. I don't know if it was just because of retracting it in the rain or not?

Here is information from Wingard concerning antenna leaks, Note, three to four times a year you are supposed to spray the "o" rings.
If it moves but shouldn't, use Duct Tape. If it doesn't move but should, use WD40.

Thanks eaherrmann! We have an early 2006 and the television is definitely analog. I don't believe the DVD/home theatre box can convert the signal so I need a converter box. They are hard to find in Canada as we don't make the switch to digital until 2011.

We also had a leak from the antenna knob. The rubber cap on the roof around the wire had come up. We pushed it back down and used caulk to keep it in place.

We HAD a drip around the antenna handle, new roof fixed that. ๐Ÿ˜ž

CoMoCo, wire your converter between the antenna jack and the splitter, this way the whole trailer will get the new signal, including the bedroom. I was to understand most TVs made after 2005 were digital ready. We just went ahead and put in a DirecTV.

Hey Blue, we purchased one of those Patty O Sunshades and installed it in the grove in the awning. We then bungie cord the corners to the ground. Works pretty well in stiff winds. Also found that we can roll up awning with sunshade in place, can't even tell it's rolled up inside it. If you want pics Iโ€™ll take some. It even cut down on that pesky mold we get every year.

CHV_FRK,

Our antenna leaked from a cracked seal. Nice little cup of water on DH in the middle of the night! Repaired at dealership.

I need to recaulk the shower doors (or wait to get them done at our next appointment.) Any tricks I need to know?

I would think you could anchor them to the ground. As long as your not pulling very hard. You just need to make sure it gives if it needs to.

As most of you who have the 35RLTS design know with the electric awning there is no wind sensor and no rain sensor (the rain I can just simply retract a little and the puddle dumps by itself...as for the wind in high winds the awning gets rolled back up BUT in the light winds has anyone found a way to put a little weight on each of the arms to at least keep it frombeing blown back up? I want to be careful not to damage the arms but with even light winds these days causes us to be unable to use the awning...

We have a 2006 Designer and are looking to get a digital converter box as we will be travelling to the US in July and will be staying at some parks without cable. My question is - how have you installed the digital converter box in your Designer?

For example, did you wire it between the wall and the Home Theatre/ DVD player so that it feeds into the home theatre? Or did you put a splitter at the wall outlet so the digital converter goes direct to the television?

Thanks for your help!
