Since there does not currently seem to be a Jayco owners forum, Moderator Frank has graciously allowed this thread. It will be for discussing Jayco related questions and comments. Anything not Jayco related will be deleted. Sounds more than fair to me. Thank-you Frank!

I have a new 34RLQs purchased in March. We have made 2 camping trips to date. Love the camper; but have a question about water pressure. On both occassions we have had excellent water pressure/volume coming out of the faucet, but very little water inside the camper. I purchased a filter and outside pressure reduction value, but removing them did not help. I called the dealer (2 hour trip) and they could only suggest that I bring it in and they would check it out. Anyone have any idea what may be my problem. I sure like to fix this myself.

Bad idea, Cruz. Janice and I went to the dealer the other day but I phoned ahead and told them that we were NOT buying a new trailer and that no salesperson was allowed to speak to Jan. Yeah, right! The fellow who had introduced Janice to the 35RLTS last year told Jan that he would write notes. I did escape with my wallet and bank account intact.

Also thanks for the tip on how to access the shower plumbing. I wondered how to get at it.

We don't much like the see-through glass on the cabinets either and I've considered getting a auto glass company to add a more opaque film but so far haven't gotten past thinking about it.

Ours sprayed through the seal from door to wall. Basically it didn't lay over the way it was supposed to. They added seal strips vertically that force the integrated door seal to lay the right direction when closed. The water migrated to the far corner of the shower pan and the wall. Just a thought.

edit....I can get a picture if you need me to.

Good news! No more leaky leaky under the sinky sinky. I think it must've been some crud in the filter connectors.

Now, just gotta figure out the leaks around the shower. I've reported it twice while the rig was in the shop for something else, and one tech said it was a leaky toilet (which I believe they truly found, but not the problem I reported) and the second one sloughed it off as water accumulated over the top.

Upon further evaluation by moi, I find that the water accumulates on the passenger side floor when each of us showers and it does not come from over the top. The driver's side leaks now through the caulk at the door when I shower because that's where the sprayer faces. I can fix that. But what do I do about the passenger side floor?? I checked for water leakage into the basement -- nothing visible.

Check your screw-on connection at the sprayer, It backs off with use and of course you don't see it leak unless your using it as a sprayer. Ours was loose during our PDI.

I had a leak under my kitchen sink on our 325BHS and it was coming from the drain trap slip joint nuts. I tightened them up and that was all it took. Good luck!!

I've tightened the fittings before and I just tightened them again. They didn't feel loose at all. I took the filter off and wiped out the inside of those connections and put it all back together again. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I don't think I knew about the access to the shower hoses through the cabinet. They were very tight!

Thanks for the help, guys.

Mine leaked up at the faucet connections, too. Just reach up there and tighten those up and it should fix the problem.

We just picked up some nice BROWN decorative boxes just the right size. They're actually covered with a nice brown material. We'll see how that works for now.
We have a friend that does cabinets. He said he could easily take the doors, remove the glass and put matching wood panels in. Hasn't quoted us a price yet ... :h

Where does it look like it's coming from ? ... the filter connections?

Have you reached up under the faucet to tighten those fittings too?

We've had the toilet, bathroom faucet AND Kitchen faucet leak just a little from loose connections. Tighten them up and it stops the leak. I now check them all before every trip! Just takes a couple of minutes.
Even check the one for the shower every couple of trips ... that's accessable thru the far left kitchen cabinet !

Cruz, I've put decorative hat boxes up there -- can store some needed items (hats!) and make an interesting impression through the glass. We've also used some protective sheilding ("Foamies Sheets" from Michael's) to prevent the removal of the frosting on the glass. I tried using wrapping paper to cover the glass on the inside, but haven't found a good match yet.

Well ... made a somewhat serious mistake this weekend !! Decided to go have a free lunch at one of our local Jaco dealer's anniversary sale, and check out some new rigs. :S
My DW had just made the comment that it would take something pretty special to beat our current 5th wheel ... then we walked into the new 35RLTS. It was sharp!!
DW said that everything she would do differently in ours, was done in the new one. I THINK it was a 2010 ... with the 40" TV that just rises out of the entertainment unit ... and a FULL picture window in the back! (The TV felt extremely unstable though.)

Anyway ... in order to make DW happy, I've agreed to look into two things we both liked on the 2010 that SHOULD be fairly simple to change in our 2008.
These are:
> replace the smoked glass across the top of the entertainment center with solid doors. (maybe just leave the center one so the remote will work!)
> replace the glass in the upper cabinets ... or do something to make it harder to see thru. (you can see anything you have packed up there!)

Has anyone tackled these things yet? :h

That would be my guess too... that you have some wire pinched somewhere between the plug and the breaker panel. They may have run a screw up into it. Did they remove any of your lower panel?

IIRC you had some rear end damage on your 5er? I would check to make sure that the receptical where you plug your cord in is correctly connected. It is near the back and they more than likely had to un-hook it from the back side to get you fixed up. Sounds like it may be loose and you have a short.

Just make sure you do this with the trailer UNPLUGED from the power ped.
