Good morning everyone. I have another question. I have 2013 Heartland Landmark Mesa. Purchased it last Oct.
And slowly doing some mods to make it the way I want it.

Have you upgraded your 5ver with disc brakes?
Did you do the install yourself?
Which system did you choose?
Any other thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks.

The braking performance at any speed or condition is such that I don't feel any difference in my stopping distance towing compared to solo. I never feel like I'm being pushed or would not be able to stop. Every stop is just like in your vehicle.....the same every time no matter how much or little the brakes have been used.
The only people I have ever heard poo-poo disc RV brakes is those who don't have them.

Maybe I just drive slow to begin with. Generally, taking my foot off the gas long before the stop has made for easy stopping. On grades, tow/haul seems to keep the truck from getting away from me. That's why I asked if it was under certain driving conditions that the difference really shines.

The difference is night and day. Once you experience Disc brakes you will realize how poorly your brakes were performing.
I also had performance install my disc brakes.

All situations are improved.

#1 consistency. Drums would take a bit to warm up or set in coming out of storage. Had to turn the controller up a bit. Then they would start working better and would lock up if controller was not turned back down.

#2 no fade on that long hill. Been in-out of Death Valley a few times with both drum and disc. These are long 7% to 9% grades that require controlled speed for the curves. Drum was OK, disk was far better.

#3 panic stop. This also relates to consistency in that to get my drums to feel right (no push/pull) they would lock up during a panic stop. Disk feels right around town and consistently provides a shorter and more controlled panic stop experience.

That is my experience. Maybe your drums and controller do a better job.

Two summers back had Performance Trailer Brakes install Titan Discs in our driveway. Money well spent, all done is less than 8 hours which would have taken me a couple days. Didn’t want to have the driveway occupied for more than a day.

Not only is it night and day better at stopping, but I no longer have any issues with Dexters problem of drum brakes getting soaked with grease. Now I can look under and visually inspect the seals without pulling a thing.

Helped my dad do the change on his HH Premier. He said I wished I had done this years ago!!!

He went with the oil bath system, NO leaks. Kodiak and I think Dexter actuator?

Pretty much bolt on from there.

Ditto on my 2011 Cameo. That was Kodiak with Titan pump.

Ordered the Lifestyle with factory disc which are Dexter all the way.

Whichever brand you go with, do the Titan pump.

No debate over the consistency of the performance and power of the disc.
Go for it!

The difference for me was the wife screaming at me to slow down on a mountain grade to her sitting over there reading her book. Yes, agree with above, night and day difference!!
