Unless I’m misunderstanding your post, i searched for 5/16” Clevis pins on Amazon and got over 12 pages of results. (Your results may vary)

I was able to find one locally for a few bucks, put back together and voila!  Beats $450!  Have a good weekend!

    did you happen to take picture of the internals so we can see what your talking about and to help others that might have this issue?
