According to the GM tow charts, a 2006 Duramax 3500, Long Box, Crew Cab Dually is rated for 22,700 lbs max 5th wheel trailer. Same truck in a 2017 Single Rear Wheel version is rated for 17,000 lbs max 5th wheel trailer.
Hook them up and tell me what you think. I'm towing over 20 with my SRW with zero issues with handling the weight.
About the ratings.....what is the ratings on a 2017 DRW Duramax? Do you honestly think the Ram and Ford is that much superior?
