- oldtrojan66ExplorerWell, if you already got fooled into thinking they were worth the "sale" price you paid to get one for home, they will certainly work just as well in the fifth wheel. We have taken ours out to the RV, mainly because the fireplace only heats the lower living area unless we use a fan for circulation, which kind of defeats the purpose, anyway! We may have it in the bedroom when we're using someone else's elect. to save on propane. At least it's quiet!

If you are looking for a heater that is as efficient as a coffee maker as the eden pure is advertised, it is not an eden pure! The name is a gimmick and is no more efficient then a 1500 watt unit from a big box store! Save your money, I inherited mine so I have no loss but wouldn't pay the price for one and would not use it in my home, much less the RV and get all the wiring hot!
Has anyone been using the Eden Pure heaters and how have they been doing - rockhillmanorExplorerEden Pure makes the best 'air purifier' but the heater is nothing more than a heater like all the rest.
Unless you have a model that is taking in air and running it thru a hepa filter 'then' heating it? - BumpyroadExplorerthe most even heat would be with an oil filled radiator type. I use them in bedrooms and baths.
bumpy - 8ntw8tnExplorerWe have a Comfort Furnace which, I believe, is just a knock-off from the Eden Pure. We used it in the living room of our sticks & bricks home before we started heading south for the winter. It works much better in the living room than a small ceramic heater. I have no idea why, but repeated comparisons produced the same results. We have it in the living area of our 5er and use it to supplement the furnace when the heat pump is no longer effective. It does a better job of keeping the room temperature even than a ceramic heater does, but it's not as effective as it was in our sticks & bricks living room. I attribute that to the difference in insulation. JMHO. Hope this helps.
- titlemanExplorerWe have had four of them for several years and really like them. Much more even heat than other electrics we have owned in the past. Use one or two all time when the outside temps get below 40. If you use them for supplemental heat they are very nice. We keep one in the fifth wheel for those cool mornings when you really don't need the furnace but just a little heat.
- MerrykaliaExplorerWe also have the Duraflame 1500 watt heater and we use it in our house during the winter, but it travels to the fifth wheel during spring and stays there until we close it up in the fall.
It gives out great heat and the thermostat works well. I have to make sure it doesn't do too much of a good job and the temps get down below freezing so we can keep the underbelly warm. - byrdr1Explorer

We have one, I think we paid too much, we use it to supplement the furnace in our basement at home. However, it keeps the basement a nice even warm temp and a regular space heater doesn't come close to the performance.
We have a knockoff (from Sam's club) and I agree with your heat quality assessment. We use ours in our basement as well and it is a much more uniform temperature than the many other 1500w heaters we've used. Any knockoff quartz infrared heater will do the job.
I have duraflame from Lowes hardware. Works nice I feel like with my grandchildren its a little safer to be around. the dogs like it better too.
BUT it is 1500 watts. My mama always told me!

The laws of physics regarding electrical energy are pretty well proven. There are way of getting additional light out of 1500 watts but not extra heat.
