Had a manual awning on my last camper for 5 years. Loved how easy it was to tilt and set lower to block sun at sunset. Wife and daughter had trouble putting it in or out though.
New trailer has an electric awning. Has 5 adjustment holes on each arm so you can adjust tilt by increasing the difference between the two sides. one side put in first hole, other side put in fifth hole (for maximum tilt to whichever end (front of back) of camper you prefer. Can store with it a maximum of 3 spots difference without causing binding problems.
So far, I'm a fan of the ease of the electric, especially when the wind picks up or we decide we are leaving. I can have it brought in and stored or extended in 30 seconds or so. Both have advantages.
