fifth wheel hitch

I have just purchased a Big Horn 3570 fifth wheel. I am moving up from my Mobile Scout Travel Trailer with Hensley hitch. I would appreciate any information or recommendations for a fifth wheel hitch that provides for a smooth ride. Thank you! Jim

I agree. I had a BD3(18k) and now a TSLB (32k). They ain't cheap but they do the job really well.
  • If it has a TrailAir air ride extended kingpin I would get a B&W, very solid top quality unit. Easy to remove and leaves your bed clear when not towing.
  • I towed a Mobile Scout travel trailer with a Hensley hitch for 10 years. Good times.

Last year we bought an Excel Winslow 5th wheel. I installed a B&W Companion hitch and Turnover ball system on my GMC Sierra 3500HD truck.

Easy to hitch and unhitch. Very sturdy.

We've towed 7K+ miles with it.

If I changed to an air ride hitch, I'd get an Air Safe 25K.
