Don't like financing toys but sometimes you do what ya got to do. Just picked up a maverick, truck was paid off. My CU let me take out what I needed, up to blue book on truck @ 1.74% instead of the 5.99 motorcycle loan.

What people forget is the financing rate for anything is based on your credit. NOT what the stock market or internet loan website posts for the day. :W

And btw did you all know that that interest rate changes hourly? For jumbo loans it's real important 'when' you lock you loan in after being quoted.

20 people could buy an RV from the same place and obtain the same loan amount and all could have different interest rates.

I understand that completely as I worked in lending for roughly a decade. I still like to know what others are getting to make sure I am in the ball park and not getting ripped off. In my opinion its not much different than asking how much someone paid for their rig. There are a lot of variables but it is always good to have a good idea of what others are paying.

Call your local credit union. Usually cheapest rates and a lot easier to deal with. We financed a portion of our MH with our CU so that we continued to have a loan someplace. They had the deal taken care of in three days from an out of state private seller.

My CU's rate is 7.65% which seems high, which is why I am asking what others have gotten. Thanks.

Interesting, I wouldn't have expected that high considering ours was 5.1% 2+ years ago and interest rates (overall) haven't gone up very much.

Check out Bank of the West and Essex Credit. The do a lot of rv loans and I have always found their rates to be the one of lowest.
