My big question is how many trips across the scales does it take to get all that data?

5vr pin weights are 'carried' by trucks rear axle.....
Depending on location of hitch truck front axle weight can be affected.
2" forward of rear axle center line on my truck ADDS 150# to front axle which was intended due to heavy pin weight.

Your 5vr DRY pin is 24% of DRY weight-----
Your WET pin is 25% of total 5vr weight
Heavy pin ratio.....5vr should track very well w/o any chucking going on

Does it sit level when hooked up/nose high/nose low?
And how is your bed rail clearance----at least 6" (more is better provided 5vr is level)

Thanks for taking the time to get your actual weights and KNOW your are within ratings. Axle Ratings are the real world numbers one needs to pay attention to!
Is it time for your medication or mine?

It's called leverage. The Fifth wheel pin is usually 1 inch ahead of the drive axel for most units. That would not produce much wieght to the front axle. It would be less the 100 lbs. If it was directly on top of the drive axle it would 0 lbs on the front axle.

Yep, simple beam calculation. Assuming the pin is centered 1 inch ahead of the axle.

2760 pin weight * 1 inch = 2760 in-lb

To counter that assuming 168 in wheel base

2760 in-lb / 168 in = 16.4lb of upward lift on the front axle.

I believe CAT scales round off the results plus there is an allowable error...so not surprising that it came out the same with or without.

I always set my GN and 5th wheel trailer hitch(s) to where it doesn't affect the trucks front axle much if any.

Your 4060 lb drive axle empty weight is one of the highest I've seen even on haulers websites. Is the 4060 lbs number as is from the factory or after you added your stuff in the truck.
