- 2halfsExplorerWe have the pole. No we do not travel with it. Sometimes my husband will mount the flagpole to the front of the trailer.
It all depends on the wind. Our bedroom is in the back and if it is really windy night then the flagpole bumping around against the ladder is too noisy for us.
He likes the option of deciding where to place the flagpole, so each trip it comes down and gets packed away. - Michelle_SExplorer IIIHad the Flag Pole Buddy, but gave it up after it broke several times. Now use an aluminum pole with a receiver mount and sat dish hard mounted on roof.
- JikSimtedExplorerI used a couple of times the flagpole light and to be frankly I was very satisfied by its quality of the refractation and the stability bby which you can attach it. Of course at the beginning I had some doubts about that, bu unless you do not try, you never find out which product is the perfect fit for your needs. On top of that, it creates a better environment for the young generation to create better values since it is eye-chatching and attracts the kid's attention. Very good product at a reasonable price. So if I used it, don't worry, you can try it too.
- allen8106ExplorerI built an aluminum plate mounted with two square end u-bolts to the bumper then cut a 12" piece of 3 inch PVC pipe and used 3" u-bolts to mount that to the aluminum plate. The flag pole sets nicely down into the PVC pipe.
- Michelle_SExplorer IIIWe had a Flag Pole Buddy, but gave up on it after the third time the pole broke with just a flag on it, so I wouldn't even try putting any type of Sat Dish on it while parked, yet alone going down the road.

- djousmaExplorerI would never go down the road with it, but you could engineer something to still use that method. just put it up, take it down as needed. I use the flagpole buddy mounts for my cellphone booster donor antenna mounted to a few sections of old flagpole I no longer use. Works great.
As a side note, i no longer use flagpolebuddy flagpoles. The fiberglass sections are too weak, as in the pinholes enlarge, etc. I now use flagpole from uncommonflagpoles. Much beefier, mounts with a trailerhitch adapter, or under-the-tire mount, etc. - Y-GuyModeratorHad one for 10 years not way would I mount a satellite dish to it.

never. It's plastic, the pole can bounce up and down, the antennae is heavy in comparison. Don't even think of this.
Sorry I had trouble doing a link but it’s the flag pole buddy 1.5 or 2.0 mounting brackets. Was wondering if it’s strong enough for a pole with a satellite dish mounted to it going down the road.
B.O. - azdryheatExplorerI have a collapsible 22' fiberglass pole mounted to the ladder and it comes down before travel. I doubt the mounts would be strong enuf for your purposes. I think of the wind forces acting on your satellite dish would harm it.
