- Splashers3ExplorerWe love our 2009 CC Silverback - we are the original owners. It has held up very well. I did have to replace the converter - last fall. I did get rid of the China Bomb tires after 3000 miles.
We hope to have this for a few more years. We love the open floorplan.

- MPI_MallardExplorerI own a Cedar Creek daydreamer not a Silverback but Cedar Creek's customer service has been the best but,,,, this year I'm noticing some frame flexing on the front of the trailer and CC declined any help due to the fact I had a hitch on the back for my generator and bikes,, very disappointed!

looking at 2001 28 ft cardinal also. it is in great shape, just wondering how long should refrigerator last, and about the hydraulics. also the 2 slides open with 1 switch. is that normal and OK
again it is so beautiful
The Cardinal has hydraulic slides. They will open with one switch, the one with less resistance will open or close first. Some have selection valves at the pump so that you can close a valve and only one slid will operate. Our 08 Cardinal is still a great camper. - alexleblancExplorerI'll say that my current FR product will most likely be my last with the amount of issues I've had due to poor construction and poor engineering. Keeping in mind that my unit is a lower end product, you may be fine.

again it is so beautiful - b-dogExplorerI just bought a used Cardinal after looking a tons of tt and 5 th wheels. It was a little older than what we were looks for but was in great shape.
- bgant4ExplorerI have had two. Both with excellent results. Not so with some of my friends with other brands when they can't get the slides in or out. Only problem I've had on a three year old silverback is a bad converter.

we are looking at buying a used silverback 5th wheel from forest river and want to know if there are any reasons why we shouldn't buy that brand
Check out forestriverforums.com for answers from hundreds of FR owners.
Also check out other RV forums such as IRV2.com as they have brand specific forums.
Kinda like asking why we shouldn't buy a chevy silverado truck. - ACZLExplorer
