Forest River Cedar Creek Silverback 29rl?

I'm replacing the converter too, ordered it yesterday. It went out while we were looking at it.

When you go to look at the Silverback check out the area above the driver side front landing gear. Run your hand up that landing gear leg and make sure it doesn’t have an opening about 5 X 7 inches that goes right into the battery storage area. If it does be sure to make the dealer seal off that opening if you decide to buy it. The opening is big enough to allow squirrels, mice, etc., into the front storage compartment. We've ordered our Silverback in August 2007. Other than a few small issues (covered by warranty), the unit has been an awesome coach. I blew a tire and took out the side wall. While visiting the factory, i was given the side wall for free after paying for the plastic fender. It was an easy install job.

I'd most definitely look at another Silverback or Cedar Creek when we're done with this unit. It has been a great addition to our family. I do need to replace the converter this spring.

I have a 2011 29rl and love it. I bought it in the fall of 2010 new. The layout is great. I pull it to Florida every year for the winter. The only real issues that I have had is a converter going bad and blowing out a China bomb right rear tire.

This is my second Silverback. The first was a 2005 that we used to travel through 48 states with no big issues other than the ones I caused. If I were to buy another 5er it would be a Cedarcreek product.

It's a 2011. I'm looking at used in our area. I like what I'm seeing, going to look at it this weekend.The 5'er was bought new and covered in the winter.

Today's Silverback's Might be a step down, it depends on the options that you get. My 2009 Silverback had many things on it that same year CC's did not have. Back then, they were considered as a more residential version. To be honest, we don't really like the newer Silverbacks.

Our Silverback has served us very well, no serious issues, looking forward to another year. It is put together well, and we love the layout. It had a couple of minor issues in the beginning, which were taken care by CC and our dealer. I did swap out the china bombs with only 3,000 miles on them. CC customer service is as stated, top notch.

I would buy a Cedar Creek with all the bells & whistles they have today. I no longer can buy an Excel, and I'm not sure how the new Mobile Suites will be quality-wise with being bought out.
