- Tango__AE7UIExplorerI installed the Winfield's several years ago and they do a good job of stabilizing the fifth.
Simple bolt requiring no holes to be drilled. - allen8106Explorer

Been using a tripod on our 39 Denali and it does a decent job of getting the wiggle out. But is the cross braces that attach to the front legs any better?
Only
About 1000% better!
Figuring out how to sell my tripod, as we installed a set of JT Strongarms last year, and far superior to a tripod.
You can get a set of JT’s from PPL Motor Homes for about $230.
Same here, wish I had done it sooner. - rhagfoExplorer III

Don't understand cross brace or JT? Does anyone have a picture? We just purchased a tripod!
This is one of the only pictures I have of my JT Strong arms. The diagonal bracing keeps the 5er from wiggling. - JIMNLINExplorer IIIIf you want a rock solid trailer with no movement and have a tripod see my reply above.
Let google be your fried in looking for JTs or other brands of cross brace type stabilizers. - Miss_Ellie1ExplorerDon't understand cross brace or JT? Does anyone have a picture? We just purchased a tripod!
- fj12ryderExplorer IIIBought the JT Strongarms and threw out the tripod. The JT Strongarms work, the tripod, not worth the fuel to haul it around.
- maddogetExplorerI have the Winfield Cross Brace system. I works as advertised. I also use wheel chocks, and with some help from Google, cut 2 2X4's and a rachet strap on the rear. Works like a charm.
- larry_barnhartExplorerDuring a walk in our rv park I saw an Okanogan fifth with a straight up and down adjustable Bali brand stabilizer on both corners. This fifth had a strong open frame at that spot so it probably works great. I know him so I will ask when he comes back. He has a dealership up North in BC.

Almost every park we have been to, we have walked around and found at least two people selling their tri pods, cheap! I have never seen a J.T. Strongarm, (The criss cross braces), for sale anywhere! That has to tell you something!
Thats where I picked up my 1st steel tri pod from a person in camp that wasn't smart enough to understand the back of the trailer needs help with sway. I'm 75 and that old steel relic was heavy so I sold it and found a all aluminum bi-pod on craigslist. Now life is good. - Coach-manExplorerAlmost every park we have been to, we have walked around and found at least two people selling their tri pods, cheap! I have never seen a J.T.
