Furrion A/C ?

I know this probly doesn't belong on this thread, but figured I'd see what folks thought anyways. As most have seen or know (I didn't), after going thru newest issue of TL, saw an ad for Furrion A/C unit. Course Furrion is a Lippert product, so is this a brand new A/C on the market? Re-branded other A/C? Or Other?

This may be true, but if a farm uses a liquid manure storage system, when they "stir" it up to transfer it to spreaders, you can smell it even further away!!

Looked at the website and all I can say about it is bovine manure. It doe s not have 50% more cooling capacity. It is rated at 14,500 BTUH and others are rated at 15,000 BTUH, unless they are comparing it to a much smaller unit.

Next the manure about a single fan unit....it has two fans like they all require. One for the chilled air and one for the condenser air. Most units use a single, double ended fan motor. Our Coleman Mach 8 Plus has two separate fan motors.

The website is a lot of smoke and mirrors.

I thought the same thing. That is why I posted the info. You know how RV industry love to sell fluff and the American consumer buys right into a lot of it.

  • We have a Furrion Oven and when the RV was new it WAS a nightmare !

Redwood replaced it ( squeaky wheel/oil thing I think ) and it started working better.. Like stated, Its a Lippert Company not a company that usually makes appliances...

As far as the AC, If given a choice I would agree and prefer the Dometic or Coleman.

BUT my Furrion back up camera is awesome ! ! :B
  • Just from following a few RV Forums, seems like there are lots of problems with Furrion products. Makes me glad we don't have any.
  • You will do better to stick with a Coleman or a Dometic.
