generator storage
I am planning to get either a Honda or Yamaha 2000 size generator so we can do more dry camping. My query is about carrying it. The front storage compartment on my Everest is certainly strong enough...

If we're using them on the road and the weather is dry, I'll carry our 2 each Yamaha EF2000iS generators in the bed of the truck, suitably cabled and locked. If the weather is "iffy", we have covers for the generators.
If we're not using them and the forecast is for rain, I can just fit both generators side by side in the QuickDraw cargo drawer in the basement where they take up minimal space. The Yamaha EF2000iS generator has an on/off selector on the fuel tank cap that, in the off position, seals off the fuel tank so that gasoline vapors are not a problem if the cap is properly tightened.
