I do what PATH1 says before firing up my furnace for the first time after getting setup at the campground. Lightning the stove burners purges the propane lines...

I always turn-off my propane tanks when in travel mode so this catches me for forgetting to turn on my propane before using it hehe...

  • To isolate the problem I would first lit the stove and make sure I had nice blue flame (no orange). That would confirm you have propane and that OPD is not messed up and so heater should be getting propane. Then look at some youtube vids on cleaning your heater before you spend any money.
  • Furnace blower comes on first to purge combustion chamber.........then sail switch & hi limit switch make up allowing dc power to circuit board for gas valve & ignitor. The clicking you hear is the ignitor.

    So.......
Main flame is not lighting off. Either because ignitor is not correctly positioned over burner slot, main gas burner dirty (slots blocked by rust/debris/mud dabber nests etc.), low propane pressure, gas valve not opening

Probably needs a good cleaning.......connection/contacts on circuit board, main burner assembly, main burner orifice, combustion chamber and make sure nothing is blocking return air to furnace.
  • Two things might be happening. You might be out of propane and the furnace is trying to ignite but can't because it is getting no fuel. Second, the batteries might be too weak to ignite the propane. I would bet on the first one. If that's not the case, then I am not smart enough to try to give you more help.
