Help solve my mystery? Couple weeks out of warranty

I was thinking the same thing with an internal overload on the motor opening up. Bad part is they are just a thin bi-metal switch and will eventually open and stay open, good part is once that happems you will know where the problem is. I just hope for your sake it doesn't happen when you need to get home.
