We are newbies to full time RVing. We head out permanently in about two weeks. We purchased a 2011 keystone fusion from PPL in Texas. At the time, they told us people did not test pull the rigs. So we purchased the rig and headed home to California. Upon getting home we found the rig to have serious issues with creaking, sounds of metal on metal, and just overall sounding like it was going to break in half. Especially when taking sharp turns, anytime it is in motion with short movements.. This is not our first experience pulling large trailers, we have owned living quarter horse trailers in the past and never heard anything like this. It's terrible!. They can be totally embarrassing at the gas station. has anyone else had this issue? Is it shocks? Is it leave springs? Something needs lubricating? Any help would be greatly appreciated .,

Weight Distribution hitch also can make a ton of noise.

One example, not necessarily the model you need

I used a kit like this on my tandem axle FW.

You could go under it and oil the heck out of the hanger pivots and pull it some and re oil and let it work in and listen to it to see if it helps quiet it down before spending any money. Use it to help diagnose. On the other hand just my opinion I wouldn't run anything without wet bolts so I put them in at the start. You are trying to find a problem so......

Put in the Dexter kit mentioned. You'll never regret it.

Yes we do, the noise is coming from somewhere in the middle to back end of the rig. Doesn't seem to be coming from the hitch area. Thank you so much for reminding us to keep the hatch area in good condition and moving properly.

Do you have the lube plate between the hitch and all.
I saw you said you have a plate, just checking to see if that's what you meant.
We forgot it one time just going to the near by campground and it made horrible sounds.

If you have an anti-sway too tight, it well make all of those sounds as well.

Bushings are shot in your suspension. Easy fix - get wet bolts and bronze bushings.
