Help with 12 volt wiring.

I have a 2013 forest river xlr 386x12 toyhauler and have a question about the wiring from the battery. I have 2 pos leads one going to the disconnect switch and one going to a post off the 12 volt buss. The one going to the buss also has a 12 gauge wire coming from the converter. My question is can I move the one from the battery to the buss to the discharge side of the disconnect. I have never had a rig that did not always have all 12 volt go thru the disconnect. I'm trying to slow down the drain on the battery. Thanks for any input, can not get a wiring schematic from forest river.

    I get conflicting information on the Schwintek slide system. As I understand the slides require power to lock the motors, or they can drift out. Yet, it would seem they would continuously draw power.

    I never pursued the correct answer.

    I second this. It seems odd there would be any drain if you had a kill switch like that.

    With everything off check how many amps are actually flowing through that wire.

    Often Breakaway brake system, slide and landing gear come direct off the battery. These systems tend to draw no power when off. But take a measurement.

    You should have a hot wire coming off either the battery or the un-fused post that goes to the breakaway switch.
    You could have a hot wire going to a circuit breaker and then to landing gear.
    There should be a power wire coming from the TV that connects to the rig's battery.
    The one front the converter is normally where the battery drain is.
    Another problem that I have seen with 5ers, is the landing gear switches are exposed to water from the TV. Some people have moved their switches inside the front compartment to protect the switches.
