I guess it could be related to main power to the house cycling off and on, but we always have our rig plugged into shore power stored here in our side yard with many power outages coming and going, never an issue with our RV convection microwave or any electrical appliance within our rig.
Neighbors across the street and on both sides of us have their rigs plugged in as well and never heard about an electrical issue from them (over the dozen years we lived here} due to just being plugged in or from power outages that frequent our area.
Obviously, something is not right, the problem could be related to a failure within your rig's electrical system or just a faulty microwave that wherever it was plugged in, was inevitably bound to fail at some point. Chuck the microwave for a new model and have your rig's electrical system professionally evaluated, dead battery indicates the problem could be twofold. Good luck and report back when you discover the culprit.
