High Pressure Propane Regulator

My red high pressure regulator developed a leak on the street side of my 2012 Keystone Cougar. I removed the old one with out marking the "In" and "Out" on the lines and hoses and now I have developed CRS and can't remember if the propane tank line is connected to the "IN" side or the "Out" side of the new regulator, thread size and diameter are the same as well. Need help please.

TIA
  • Don't understand. From tank to regulator, from regulator to lines. What am I missing???
  • I have a TT, not a FW. On mine, both propane cylinders feed "into" the regulator, the pressure is reduced, then it goes "out" of the regulator and on to the appliances. So, logically the propane cylinders connect to the "in".

I am guessing the difference on a FW is the propane cylinders are sometimes separated. Does this then have two regulators?

Hope this helps. Someone with a FW should be along soon. (on edit, they beat me at clicking "Post Message")
  • If you mean one like this?? ">This one is two weeks old, had to replace mine too. The new ones are full cast metal where as my other had a a plastic insert(made in guess where!) Make sure you get the proper psi rating that is stamped on the regulator. Mine was a 30 psi which are harder to find than the 10 or 12 psi. I bought a spare as well since I have twin tanks(one on each side) and a regulator on both. The new ones were only $17 a piece.
  • On my 2013 Cougar the tank goes to "in" and the line goes to "out", just like the others have said. My regulator also has an arrow showing a flow from "in" to "out". Makes sense when you think about it. My red regulator is 30 lbs.
