Honda Bleack Max 7000 Portable Generator
Saw this unit in a new Sams store, and looked pretty good. Electric start and plenty of outlets. Anyone know anything about it. The good and the bad.

Are they really loud?
I thought all Honda generators were the quietest?- Not all Honda's. The quiet generators are the inverter series. Honda, Yamaha, Champion, Kipor all have them.
- Those contractor series generators are super loud! I started with one, not a Honda, and did everything I could to drop the noise level, without success. In the end I just ended up buying a quiet generator.
- I've checked out the Black Max gen sets at Sams but only for home use. I can't imagine using it in a campground, I'll keep my EU2000 for that. The Honda EU's are the quiet ones (along with Yamaha's version)
- it's a 3600 rpm unit. it will be noisy because of the speed. I would not want to camp near anyone using it and I don't think you would either. Nice for standby at home.
