We bought an older Montana 5th wheel (2000) 2 years ago to set up at the property we're going to build on. Got it mainly as a break trailer to get out of the weather while we work on the land (43 acres), and to store our expensive tools in while we're not there. I noticed early on that the old antenna was gone when I saw the whole in the bedroom ceiling with no handle or hardware, which is not a problem. It doesn't leak, as far I've been able to tell, but I got up on the roof the other day to sweep off the pine needles that had accumulated from where we had it setting until a few weeks ago. Up on the roof, I noticed that there's no cap or anything on the hole where the antenna formerly was. I'd really like to cap and seal it, but I'm not having any luck finding a simple white cap to cover it with. I've found youtube videos of everything from cutting aluminum sheet and screwing/sealing it, but that looked terrible. (I know, who's going to see it, anyway?)to patching over it with epdm rubber. All it needs is a simple cap of some sort, which would serve the purpose, look decent and be an easy fix. Does anyone know where to find something like this? Thanks, Lee Butcher

Look at hardware store for stool, or crutch rubber tips, and use Dicor self leveling caulk on it.If its level use eternabond tape.

Try a plumbing vent cap. Simple sealed.

They make round white home door knob protectors now. Any ace or big box will have them. Bed of dicor around the edges and you are gold.clicky

Well, thanks VERY much for all the great ideas and help on this problem, first of all. They've all helped and I've found the solution, but-
I went down to the property yesterday after picking up a few items that were mentioned here. But when I got up on the roof and checked it out, I realized that the hole that I was looking at wasn't the old antenna hole (which was about 2' from it), but is the vent stack to the washing machine drain in the closet. The antenna hole has been capped and sealed already, and what I was looking at was simply the hole for the vent, surrounded by the base of what had been a normal vent cap with the plastic 'clips' that slide into the plastic base. I can't believe I didn't put 2 and 2 together and take notice of the old antenna cradle next to the actual hole. I did not even think about the laundry closet being on the other side of the wall a few feet from the interior antenna hole! But there it is! Some good news is that the previous owner already has a new cap and base for that in the basement of the trailer, so I even have the parts I need to fix it. As if it really needs "fixed", since it isn't an issue if some rain water goes down the hole anyway. So, thank you everyone for the big help, and forgive me for not being a little more observant of something that was in plain sight the whole time. Lee Butcher

I had to do the same to mine recently. I made up a cover the same size and shape as the antenna base out of plexi-glass, attached it using the same screws to the original screw holes and sealed it with Dicor.

I would 1st use Fiberglass resin to fill the hole and trowel smooth and then cover it with eternabond tape, using dicor on the edges to seal.

You could get an antenna for about $100, and that wouldn't look bad.

Something simple like a piece of formica sealed down would do the trick. Inside I would put up a nicely varnished piece of wood to cover the hole. Does nothing but looks better than trying to match whatever the ceiling covering is.
