Yes my 2500 HD is a gas and I love the torque and grunt that it has. I live in the mountains and as my daily driver I'd rather have the less fuel mileage versus the extra low end torque. We get a good amount of snow and coming down the mountain with lower gearing is a plus for me. Yes my Laredo 29RL 5er is a light aluminum frame unit. We just bought it in October,and our first trip with this 5er was a three day 300 mile round trip on slightly flat and some hilly Interstate highways. The short trip round trip was just a little over 300 miles. I averaged right at 9.5 miles per gallon. My Keystone comes in dry weight of 7975 and my load capacity is around 2925. This 2500 Jimmy is great with this trailer. My loaded towing capacity is around 13000 for this Jimmy so I am just about right for safety and any towing issues with a 3/4 ton truck. The 2008 Keystone Laredo (Mustang Sally) is just the right size to bring up to this 4500 foot elevation dirt mountain roads leading up to the house. The roads are narrow and in some places a little challenging, but my truck driving experience comes in quite handy at times especially backing down my sloped driveway to tuck her away into her spot

The 6.0 is a gas engine, and in the current GM HD's, you get the 4:10 with the gasser and 3:73 with the Duramax, no other choices. I had a 2013 6.O with 3:73 which was the last year those were availible I believe, and can tell the difference off the line with my 2015 with the 4:10
