If you look for two holes along the inside top of the door there are manual latches in the holes. Put your finger in each hole and pull down, you should hear a click. I'm tall so I can reach them but you may need a step stool.
Thanks, you were exactly right. The problem is, we have the sliding screen doors and they were incredibly difficult to get to. From the ground, I don't think I could have gotten to them if I had wanted to. And from the bed, it was a long reach for me on one side and an unpleasant one on the other.
I did the one and my daughter did the other. I waited outside to "catch" the door. Interestingly, it popped but wouldn't open more than an inch or two and from the bed in a raised position, my daughter couldn't really push it out. I had to actually pull it down.
Even if I tie a grab handle to it, I'm not 100% certain if the kids will be able to push it open. My 14 year old might, but my 5 year old definitely couldn't.
Guess we go back to the emergency exit window for the driver's side of the camper. The front-side has the actual garage exit door.
Thanks trikeflyer for your info!
