How to whiten the roof without harming wax job?

I previously used a dilution of bleach which worked great but I recently waxed the exterior and don't really think it would be good to have a bleach solution running down the side. :/. Is there anything that will whiten the roof without harming the wax job?

The primary reason I wash my roof with gently soap yearly in the spring is to get a good look at its condition. I inspect the caulking, vents, a/c shroud, wineguard antennae and all the other potential leak areas. Also a good time to treat the slide out seals that cant be reached from the ground. For sure be cautious on a wet/soapy roof and ensure your roof can take weight as per manufacturer.

Spic and SPAM ??..:@

If you can stand the stuff - eat the spam - and stick with mild dish soap solution - black spots mean it's time to re-coat the roof.

NO bleach!

Google EDPM roof care info, etc.

Dish detergents strip wax. Look for automotive soaps that do not. Meguires, in the pink bottle does not. Good stuff. About a cap full in the bucket is enough.

Start with the roof. Give it one of the roof conditioners or something like 303 afterwards. Keeps the black streaks to a minimum.

All detergents will strip wax.
I don't know of any product that will clean or whiten the roof per the roof material mfg recommendation that doesn't take the wax off the sides of a trailer when its rinsed off.

My '97 5er with a 32' roof surface has been washed just once many years ago to remove oak tree sap. This roof can't be seen down the road or up close like some roofs.

Dawn is a great cleaner, but it will strip wax.

Yes, but we all know that you can open a can of Spam and toss it on the counter for 3 months and it will last forever and still be edible.

So perhaps putting Spam on your roof is better than RV Armour and will make your roof last forever.

I haven't washed mine in two or three years because I cant see it and washing doesn't do it any good.
But I can see keeping it cleaner if it's visible like on some fivers.
