Thank you all for the responses. KD while I haven't pulled that kind of weight I have pulled with this truck and I think you are spot on with that 10mpg comment. I typically get 280-300 out of a full tank while not pulling anything like 11 mpg ish. When I pull our boat (24' Thompson) or the enclosed 7x16 full of dirt bikes or quads or both I see around 240-250 so just under 10 mpg. I really was expecting less in the 7-8 range but that news is welcome that you found more mpg !!

That's full tank, wife, daughter and even brought the dog for a ride (she loves it anyway)and the hitch..... also tossed my travel tool box in the back even though I'll probably keep those in the garage in the very back of the trailer where the majority of any cargo weight will be or try my best for it to be.
I'm currently looking at spring helpers or air bag assist options. Anyone with experience have any suggestions which direction? Brands? They both seem to be easy installs right in the garage. So any and all opinions are appreciated.
