Hey all, I pretty close to nailing down an assignment (Travel RN). One hospital is in Klamath Falls, Or and the other is in Springfield, Or. My questions are: Are there any gorgeous campgrounds maybe near the hospitals (30mins driving distance is my max)with a ton of Amenities such as full hookup, laundry, Wi-Fi, allow dogs, dog areas, stunning views etc..?
TIA,
Brooks

There really isn't anything like you describe in the Klamath area. Don't get me wrong it is has wonderful scenery with relative proximity to lake and mountain campgrounds...just not the type you describe. The Klamath Basin is an agriculture/sportsman's hub. There is the Running Y resort, but I don't think they have RV spots. There is a KOA, but it is located in town, probably not what your looking for. Klamath is only about 45 minutes from Crater Lake, but again there is no RV resort-type camping there.

For what you are looking for you may be better off in the Eugene/Springfield area.

I have stayed at the Premier Park just North of Eugene. It has all the amenities your looking for but is right on the freeway. But could not hear the freeway inside the trailer. We stayed there with a Dog and had no problems.

There is Also Armitage County Park in Coburg. Very nice setting but it does not have all the amenities your looking for. But it does have a GREAT dog park...

Brooks I grew up in Eugene, right next to Springfield. That area is still one of my favorite areas you've got the Cascades to one side, the Oregon Coast to the other and great sites south... up north you have Portland... well 3 out of 4 isn't bad LOL. But seriously it's nice around Portland too.

As far as staying in Eugene-Springfield. I've only stayed at one. That's the Eugene Kamping World which used to be a KOA - its a bit north but not far at all and just off of I-5. It's not amazing but decent and number of full time rigs along the sides that we say during our couple of stays. You also have Premier RV Resorts on the other side of I-5 both of these are in Coburg. Premier is pretty large with amenities, but I've never stayed there.

Deerwood RV Park is south of Springfield. From the photos it looks a bit nicer, and without the heavier traffic you'll find from the two up north along I-5.

Bit further out is Dexter Shores RV Park never been there but I have been up on the lake. Bit more of a drive but will give you better views and a slower pace of life.

Good luck.
