I had the same thing happening with my Cardinal. I replaced the converter and the problem was cured. That was about 3 year ago, no problems since.
When you check the converter output make sure that it is under load.
When you change the converter, get one that has a seperate battery charger that will not overcharge the battery.
If you are not a member of the Cardinal RV Club, you should join. There are lots of Cardinal/Blue Ridge owners on the site that are very knowledgeable about these rigs and are eager to help. The best part is it is free!
