I have been trying to have an issue with my fifth wheel fixed for about six months now.

I have what I feel is excessive pin box flex.

I have been turned down for warrantee twice by the manufacturer of the fifth wheel and by the frame manufacturer.

It is flexing enough that a seam on the outside is separating and panels in the closet are coming off. Also closet doors are moving when transferring weight from pin to the landing gear.

I have taken some pictures and taken some measurements.

I also have some video but don't know how to post them.

Thanks

I sent an email to Primetime Friday regarding the frame flex issue. They have not replied yet. Does anyone know a contact number for Forest River?

Turn the damage into your insurance as a claim. The insurance co. will get hold of Rorest River:)

One bit of advice would be to make the subject line a little more informative when you start a thread.

Just saying.

Thank you. I just posted on the Primetime forum. Was able to upload some videos there also.

I had a similar flex issue in 2011, not nearly as severe as yours. Thru a brand specific forum I found another owner with the same issue. I took lots of measurements and photos. I had no visual damage except the closet floor moving ( since it is directly attached to the frame). I went directly to the manufacturer and they brought Lippert in. My dealer provided the service bay and removal/reinstallation of the front cap. A Lippert tech added reinforcement at several spots.

I know at least 4 units received this repair and the frame design was changed within 6 weeks of identifying the problem. That is how it should work. Post your issue on a Primetime forum and seek other owners. If they have similar problems, then there is a design issue and you will have more leverage. If they don't, then there is a specific defect with your unit that needs to be isolated. Talk directly to Primetime, don't just work thru the dealer. If Primetime won't talk with you, then get a lawyer to send them a letter and post everything on an appropriate forum. Be the squeeky wheel.

Frame flex on a 2015? Holy sheet. I would start with the manufacture contact. Be nice and send pics of hooked and unhooked. If they agree to fix it, be prepared to get it back to the factory.

I see you are a Good Sam member. You also need to send it to Action Line. Maybe if you stir up enough dust they will change their mind.

Your contract is probably like mine that you have to go to an arbitrator instead of being able to sue them and I would not hesitate to go to arbitration but I would have a expert look at the problem first.

Good luck.
