LT tire upgrade Cougar 327RES
Has anyone out there upgraded tires to LT on this fiver or a similar model? I.e. going from 235/80R16 to 235/85R16. Just want to make sure there would be no concern with distance between tires or tire...

The most popular 16" tires going on RVs are the Michelin Rib tire, Bridgestone Duravis R250's and the Goodyear G614. These are tires commonly seen on work trucks with utility beds and small cranes.
The Bridgestones were $197 after rebates recently for me at Costco, and I get'em mounted and balanced for $50. If you put them on your daily driver, you might get 150,000 miles out of them. And they're very thick and heavy tires.
Coopers and other lesser tires just don't have the guts of the above tires for RV use.
Pretty sure the OP's Cougar is the same as my Outback. I have about 2" between my tires. The 235/85s are 1/2 taller which only leaves 1" between them. Seems too close for me.
