mice

I solved my mouse problem! By raising my stabilizers, and using drier sheets plus irish sprind soap. Inside and in storage compartments. I set 8 traps and the have gone from 2 to3 in two weeks to 0 for the last month, mid October november is the peak of mouse season and none so far.Nov.16
  • Pure Peppermint oil on cotton balls all through the RV keep out the little critters, and the RV smells nice too.
  • I put snap traps in my RV, my garage and on the breezeway. No bait.

Mice are stupid, they run all over everything, they do not know what a trap is. Have caught a lot of them with no bait.
  • Dryer sheets don't work. They will use them to build nests. If you use them and there are no mice in your trailer they will work fine. They don't do anything to keep out mice. Why would they work? They smell good, don't poison anything, don,t trap anything...

  • Fresh cabbage? LOL! Answered above. Amazon and Tractor Supply sell it, among others. For me, Fresh Cab works better than dryer sheets and smells much better than moth balls (not sure those work either).
  • Fresh Cab is a rodent repellant, often sold at farm supply stores, that comes packaged in small bags. It has a pleasant odor for humans but apparently is offensive to rodents. Hope this helps.

Do you bait the traps? I've heard some folks just put traps around the tires and landing gear. I ask about baiting because that can attract them inside. If so, what bait? Peanut butter works in the house but turns rancid in a week or so. I use Fresh Cab and usually only see mice sign where I forget the Fresh Cab like the battery compartment.

  • I got them contained to one lower cabinet but can't find a way to no getting them in there. I had the water tank out and sealed all opening. I now get one every couple of weeks in the trap.
