I just bought a set of Andersen levelers to get rid of my boards I carry. Haven't had a chance to try them yet but they get good reviews on RV forums.
I have one of those and need a second one, they really work great as long as you don't need to raise one side too high. They REALLY come in handy when the ground is slippery from gravel or rain since they don't slide when you try to drive up on them like blocks. Then you stick the wedge in and instant tire cradle.
^^ X2. We use two of the Andersen levelers on our fifth wheel. We use a large carpenter's level on the floor inside the trailer and communicate with our two-way radios. Very quick and easy.
Other items we don't leave home without (wait! Our RV is our home!) are:
1) the above mentioned Progressive Industries EMS (hard-wired).
2) adapters to step down to 30 or 15/20 amp electric if that's all that's available.
3) RhinoFlex sewer hose and extension.
4) adequate water filtration (besides helping prevent illness, good filtration also saves your fresh tank, pump and plumbing system).
5) Plenty of fresh, whole-bean coffee and distilled water (perhaps this should be #1).
6) compressor for trailer and truck tires.
7) guitars, jigsaw puzzles, books on the Kindles, or anything else that suits your entertainment needs for those inevitable rainy stretches.
