My Other Tow Vehicke

Today I got the 1967 Ford N-950 out and hooked up to the fiver for a short trip. The 743 cubic inch Cummins diesel does a pretty respectable job of towing the fiver.

Very nice sir, thank you for sharing with us. I rolled thru Smithville yesterday headed back from Fredericksburg. Would have been cool to see out on the road!

I have to agree with you on that. There is nothing that sounds better than a Detroit two stroke. I wish my truck had the 238HP inline 6-71 Detroit in it.

In a world full of restored cars driving a restored truck like this you really have a head turner.

Well done!

What tranny do you have in the truck? Or is a 5/4 or 5/3. Looking at the drive line it would appear to be two? Chris

It had a ten speed when I bought it. I took the ten speed out and installed a thirteen speed. The reason it looks like a two stick is because when I stretched it I had to put a two piece drive shaft in.

This is the thirteen speed installed.

I drove a Titan 90 Chevy from 76 to 79 with a RR 13 speed. Nice tranny. I would let the cutch out drive 70 miles from Port Angeles to Forks Wa and put the cutch in again. 350 8V71. Chris
