Mysterious roof vent -- 2014 Montana

I have a 2014 Montana fifth wheel with the rear living room floor plan. On the roof near the rear there is a roof vent that is approximately 4 inches in diameter. The rain cover is cracked and I need to replace the rain cover. See the attached picture.

Question: What is this vent for? I have looked in the rear cabinets and there is no sign of this vent pipe.

  • If like mine the top cover just screws off. If the base is still good, just screw on a new cover. I bought the whole assembly but just used the cover since my base was still in good condition.

Available from a lot of sources. Just google RV attic vent cap.

  • I agree, attic vent. My attic vents are same size as tank vents, so covers easily replaced. Your 2014 Montana should have vent caps available yet from the manufacturer, if you can't find a quicker/better source.

  • I vents the attic space above the ceiling. There is probably on near the front as well. Just in a house you have to vent under the roof to keep moisture from building up.
