A friend of mine bought 01 Excel. The scare lights on both sides have no power. We can't find a switch to turn them on.There is 4 switches just to the left of the front door, but they all have a use.Two are for the ceiling lights,1 for the step lights and one we have no idea.Doesn't matter if it's on or not the scare lihts have no power to them.Does anyone have a unit this old and where do they turn on?TIA.Dave

I had a 2000 Excel but that was too many years ago for my limited memory banks. Ours turn on just inside the entry door as part of a 3 switch panel. My suggestion is to call the Excel Service Center in Smith Center, Ks. It was opened in the old manufacturing facility by some former employees who are experts on all things Excel. They have been open for a couple of years now and have established a great reputation for quality service for both Excel products and any other brand. I bet they could point you in the right direction. Their number is 785-686-3080.

Have you checked the bulbs?
Yep, actually drove to all of these places---in the last eight years. Missed Rhode Island and New Jersey.

In my fifth wheel, the scare lights have their own fuse in the panel. Have you checked the fuses?

My guess is that 4th switch is a likely candidate to be the problem. Maybe you need to check the switch out to see if it has power to it and is working.
