Need light at control panel

Question

I am looking for a solution to light up our control panel.  There are no lights in the hallway and I can't read the buttons at night for the slides, switches, etc.  Ultimately I am looking for a battery powered puck light that will shine down the wall, not back at your face.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

This would work and provides flexibility to shine it where you need it. There are versions with battery compartments that stick on the wall.

RanchDweller:A few years ago, I purchased some white LED battery-powered "puck" lights at Camping World (for my previous fiver) for a problem similar to yours. They worked well. As I recall, the price was around $20 for a package containing 3 of them.Mike

Is there room in the cabinet for a 12volt license plate light?  That wired to a push button switch activated by the door would work well.
