We looked at this model as well, it is really nice. I do remember that the Pin weight was way higher than expected. Specs show at almost 3k but the actual weight on the one we looked at was almost 3300...

Make sure its the Columbus. There's one called the compass that's the same thing but just a "no frills" model maybe? Still pretty nice. Same dovetail joints. I think the compass is a Columbus also. Its all so confusing. The Columbus rep was at the show. He explained the differences as the Columbus wasn't at the show. He gave me his cell phone number and told me to call him with any questions as the dealers still don't know much about them yet. This was 2 months ago and I think the dealers now know the differences.

Thank you! We plan on hitting the RV shows in Chicago in Jan & Feb and I am making my list from what I can find online. I will be adding this one for sure!

Check out the Columbus 377mb. We just ordered one from RVW. We went to the Hershey show and spent 2 days looking at mid bunks. Two long days. The Columbus is the only one with dovetail joints in their drawers. Not the staples we saw in all the others. And also I don't know if your going to have a washer dryer but it was the only one with the W/D facing into the bedroom. All the rest had the W/D facing inside the closet which means taking out all the clothes to do laundry. Not a big deal except we will be full timing in ours. @ependydad I can easily see where one could disagree with my 1/2 bath and outdoor kitchen thoughts By no means do I think I'm 100% right.
I did not start out with these opinions. I though 1/2 bath would be great,but I should have given more thought to the plumbing end and the tanks! LOL
The ironic thing about not liking the outdoor kitchen is I do all my cooking outside. Maybe I'm just an old dog that can't learn new tricks.
I set up my outdoor kitchen with grill,griddle deep fryer etc.. I set my kitchen up where I want it (under the awning when need be) vs. at the rear of the trailer. (where I never want it to be) a few trips we are just hoteling it and on the go and I do no cooking at all.
Ultimately my problem is I carry too much stuff including outboard motor,on board genset,washer dryer etc. I am constantly needing storage space.
I prefer just plain storage vs. dedicated compartment like an outdoor kitchen.
Even the 1/2 bath is not needed for my crew most of the time. Again that space can be used for other things.
2 kitchens and 2 baths is not efficient use of space when there is only 400 sq ft. total. Where am I going to put my outboard motor?! LOL...of course we need that.
For the record I have a camping buddy with an outdoor kitchen. I enjoy hanging out at his outdoor kitchen area. I really can see how the kitchens and 1/2 baths can be convenient and beneficial they are just not for me.

My wife feels she will miss the outdoor kitchen, but she is ok with it cause all we ever used it for was an ice machine and the mini fridge for drinks for guests and such, and with a 12 Cubic Foot 4 door fridge with ice maker in it, we should be fine now.

The extra bathroom I totally agree about. Its a pain and twice as many chances of a problem. One bathroom is enough for us. But, like you said, different strokes. If everyone like the exact same thing and had the same budget, we wouldn't remember which one was ours in the campground cause they would all be identical.

Eliminating the 1/2 bath altogether allows for better use of the space. I also feel this way about outdoor kitchens. The outdoor kitchens are convenient however an RV is too small to have/need 2 kitchens. I think the outdoor kitchens should be eliminated and the space utilized in a more efficient manner.
I don't think many people agree with me on the kitchens because they are becoming more popular especially on bunkhouse units.
