Do you think Sailun will pay for your trailer damage like GY will if you have a blow out?

I will stick to US Made quality tires.

Due to so much damage by tires blowing,and then downtime while trailer gets repaired, I just would not take the chance. I hope the best for you. I've ran either Michelin or Maxxis. I've had one tire go down, and it was Maxxis Repair guy felt it had a nail and it was just going down when someone had me pull over.

It's a good question and one I can't answer....If there are no issues with the tires, one may NEVER know the answer to your question. Only time will tell. That is one thing GY will do if there is a tire failure...bummer is, it should never happen in the first place...Hopefully, the Sailun tire has enough quality control processes put in place that the answer to your question will be a moot point....just like it SHOULD be with the GY G614 tire.

By the time I need tires again, (if no tire failure issues), we should have some answers about the Sailun tire on just how good or badly it performs, and IF a tire failure occurs will the Sailun manufacturer step up and do the same thing for it's customer that GY does.

Bummer is, the OP is talking a "G" rated tire, not an "E".....there are not a lot of options in a "G" rated tire out there for those of us who want to "err" to the side of safety....if Michelin manufactured "G" rated RIB, that's' what would be on my 5er...but they don't, and I do opt to put tires on my 5er that are rated to cover the axle weight rating plus.....

I'm not going to a 17.5" wheel and tire, initial cost is too much for me personally...I've heard all the arguments as to why one should go to this, but I can't buy into the initial cost. My 5er is almost 7 yrs old and I had one tire failure which very well might have been caused by the weak spring pack that lowered that part of my 5er enough to have ripped the tread off my tire...just not 100% for sure on that one now that know what all happened at the time..AND GY saw this also, BUT opted to put 4 brand new tires on my 5er for me..pretty doggone good no matter what happened

So, if one has "G" rated tires come on their 5er and that is what is recommended due to the weight of one's 5er and one doesn't have the money to spring for 4-5 brand new 17.5 wheel's and tires...then "G" rated tires are the only option....and we know the selection out there is thin...I will stick with GY G614 tires because they have proven out, but when it comes time to purchase new tires and there is a more affordable tire offered with a proven track record, I may look around...I will not compromise my 5er's load carrying capacity by putting an "E" rated tire on it.. With a GVW of 16,500 # and 7,000# rated axles....I don't think it would be in my best interest to go that route.

If the "G" rated Sailun "proves out", then to me, it will be a viable option to the GY G614.

again, time will tell, with reports on these and other forums by those who have purchased the G rated Sailun tires as to how they have performed...I'll be curious to read the reports.

We have been running the Saliun S637 on our Jayco Pinnacle for a little over a year now.

We currently have about 10,000 miles on them, no problems so far, no abnormal tire wear, they all balanced with very little weight.

The Saliun Tire is a high quality tire, a very heavy tire too.

Thanks for the heads up....if you'll keep us posted it would be greatly appreciated. What is the GVW of your 5er and the axle ratings, if you don't mind me asking?

This family of tires are marketed as regional all-position tires, however the 16" has a note that it is for trailer use only.

I find it a bit hard to believe that Saliun can get it right and Goodyear can not. Which brings us to the more recent G614's and if all of the problems have been resolved.
