One thing I had forgotten to mention also.
You may get a message on the display saying check coolant additive.
Now one can do these tests yourself, but involves buying a quantity of test strips you really don't need.
I guess all these new diesels running the OAT style coolant are real particular to the PH balance of the coolant, and that message just means have Ford dealer check the coolant with their test strips.
So for sure be aware of this when it does come on, and it will. Nothing major, and any dealer can do the test. It actually can be done in a few minutes, but they gotta let the system cool down enough so they can open coolants caps safely.
