New York Bug Report

Hello Fellow Travelers!
My sweetie and I are headed up to Irving, NY on the coast of Lake Erie in a few weeks. We are staying at Evangola State Park. Can anyone tell me how the bugs are this year?

I was talking to a friend of mine who was recently at Acadia National Forest in Maine and they were overrun with mosquitos, biting flies and ticks.

My wife is a little allergic to mosquitos so we would be more comfortable without those little critters around.

Can anyone give us a report on the bug situation up north?

Thanks
Tom

I'm about an hour away and we have had a very dry year so far and the mosquitoes are less than they have been in awhile. Some lawns are turning brown and that usually doesn't happen until late August.

Hmmmmm -
no help with Irving....but could be *anywhere* in the state of NY, as
"supposedly" there were bugs in a New York City high rise apt tower!
