If you have noise when walking across floor from ductwork, here is an easy fix, access your ductwork from your basement, attach double sided tape to the duct, then attach foil covered bubble wrap insulation to the tape, then run duct tape across the width of duct up the sides, problem solved.

I had a popping sound in the duct work feeding the floor vent in the bedroom. They put 10lbs of crude in a 5lb hole. I removed the flat duct work that ran between the studs. Accessed it in the basement. Went to Home Depot and bought some round duct and a transition piece. Hooked it together and no popping sound. Another model they make actually has the same round duct like I installed.

I would have liked to seen pictures, cause it sounds like a good idea. My rv has had several floor noise problems. However, none of them were from the air duct work. Maybe that problem is next.
