I own the F250 Platinum CC with the 6.2l gas and 6 speed. We pull a 298 Sunnybrook which is a heavy trailer. The truck came with the camper package and that's what you want. The on board brake controller is many times better than the prodigy p3 that I had in my Suburban. It really controls the brakes and has the truck and trailer in sync while braking. As far as pulling a heavier trailer than mine. If money weren't an issue, I would upgrade to the 350 with a diesel. The gasser does fine with the 6 speed in the mountains, but does slow down on some of the bigger hills. As far as weight is concerned the extra spring in the 350 leaves room for gear and stuff.
