Extra ammunition for each weapon. Cleaning kit, and batteries for the red dot sights.

For us, everything stays in the trailer except clothes and food. We usually figure on stopping for supplies in a day or two anyway.

The bigger challenge is remembering to do everything before leaving home. Cut off the water, (we have learned our lesson)turn off the ice maker, water heaters. Stop the mail, pay the bills, grab the satellite receiver and remotes. Cell phones for hot spot. Bring dog. lol

Top of the page, in the blue bar, click on "RVing FAQ." Section two has some great info.

Has anyone mentioned a good voltmeter? Preferably one with a continuity tester option.

We stay mostly in State Parks. We've stayed in State Parks from Fl to CA, to WA and always got in with our 35 ft. Having said that, I always check on line before just showing up as there will be limitations. 41 ft. Will fit into most of the parks we have visited, and many "do" have at least 30 amp service. The 50 to 30 amp adapter has been used a lot.

Several great suggestions here. I would also urge you to get a 12 or 20 ton bottle jack, another spare tire(depending on how far you travel), good lug wrench, torque wrench(for lugs), the wood as already suggested, extra water, sewer and electrical connections as already suggested as well along with extra sections of each type hose. The reason for the extra spare tire is with a rig of that length, it will be heavy, and if you blow out one tire, the remaining tire on that side will suddenly be overloaded and damage may be done to that tire as well. This is also the reason for the 12-20 ton jack, lug wrench, and torque wrench.:B

By the way, what part of Georgia???

Just one very important rule for us......

White water hose...only for fresh water in fresh water tank

Black, or coloured hose for anything other than fresh water. We have a seperate hose that is well marked with duct tape that is used for anything to do with blk tank or sewer. It stays in a seperate sealed container for obvious reasons.

You can never have enough power adapters & extensions. We even have one to take us from a twist locking type marina 30A pedistal to RV 30A. Had a connector of a 50A power cable go bad so bought a new cable & also a connector to put on the old one. Have a complete spare now, plus the 30A extension cable.

For the close to home weekend warrior spares are not a big deal. The location of a nearby RV supply store is known & he has till next weekend to do something about what went wrong.

The traveler needs to be more self-sufficient. A close parts store, if one is available, is not known. If out in the wilds of the west or north chances are there is no store for miles around. Carrying spares almost always guarantees that they will not be needed. We carry a spare waterpump since we always draw from our own tank after filling it through a water softener. 5 years, 150 nights per year, the original pump is going strong.
