one night stops

We do it if we plan on leaving first thing next morning. True it may not be completely level but we haven't had any problems doing it. And it makes it easier to leave.

If stopping for one night, I usually do NOT and unhitch, and do NOT put the rear stabilizers down because I might forget to raise them before pulling away. (We can put up with it for one night.) My leveling system consists of 2x12 boards, and I will put one or two under one side if side-to-side leveling is needed.

Did it all the time when we had a fiver. Never unhooked or stabilized for an overnight stop in transit.

We do it all the time. Just to be safe, unplug your umbilical cord while plugged into shore power.

It doesn't take very long to level it, chalk the tires, lower the landing gear. I don't move the truck and in the morning set it right back down.

I like to if needed in the middle of the night be able to roll out in a hurry for whatever reason and not be hooked to a camper. Never had to but can if needed....

:? Why? On your Ford. There is no power to or from the trailer if the switch is in the off position.

If it's nose down I'll lower the landing legs but leave it hooked up. I can raise it a good 4 inches before it's off the hitch plate. If it's really low I can use my leveling boards under the truck or just move around the site sometimes works.

I have always just plugged up the shore power and went inside. However, abc40kids just made me think. what if you have a medical emergency or some other reason to leave in a hurry. It might not be a bad idea to lower the landing gear after all. Then you could just drop the tailgate, pull the handle and hurry off.

I think I've read on here before about why you should unhook the umbilical cord, but now I can't recall why. Will it drain the tv batteries? Can someone enlighten us?
